BOSTON, MA — Three men plead guilty to the sex trafficking of a minor Wednesday in connection with a case with ties to Woburn, according to the U.S. attorney's office.
Tyrell Gorham, a/k/a Sheek, 31, of Lewiston, ME pleaded guilty to an indictment charging him with one count of sex trafficking a minor, according to the announcement. Lee Young, a/k/a Chop, 34, of Brockton, and Chelanjei Greene, a/k/a Young, 34, waived indictment and pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit sex trafficking of a minor.
The U.S. Attorney's office indicated that a minor woman was identified as a victim of a sex trafficking ring as a result of an undercover law enforcement operation conducted in 2015. Gorham recruited the minor and a friend to work as prostitutes in the Greater Boston area, and were transported by Gorham and Young to the area from Portland, ME. With the help of Green, the minor and her friend posted an online advertisement on Backpage.com used to offer the sexual services of the women for a fee.
