UPDATED: Woburn Toddler Pronounced Dead at Hospital
BREAKING: The 15-month-old boy had been hospitalized on Aug. 15

WOBURN, MA — The Middlesex County District Attorney's office is now investigating after a 15-month-old Woburn boy was pronounced dead Thursday night.
District Attorney Marian Ryan announced that the toddler was taken to a local hospital from a home in Woburn on Aug. 15. Multiple reports citing the Middlesex County District Attorney's office indicate that the toddler was under the care of a family friend at the time.

The child and his parents were not identified. State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Woburn Police Department are investigating the situation. The matter has also been referred to the Medical Examiner's office.

Multiple media reports also indicate that the boy's twin sister was also taken to the hospital with less-serious injuries.
