Tony C's Winners at the 1st Annual Mac 'n Cheese Bowl

Tony C's takes home the trophy for their Lobster Mac 'n Cheese

The 1st annual Mac ‘n Cheese Bowl was held recently at the Courtyard Marriott in Unicorn Park. The event was a fundraiser in support of the North Suburban YMCA’s summer lunch service program. The Y understands that “Hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation” and provides meals during the summer for children who might otherwise go without.

Over 250 people attended the Mac n Cheese Bowl sampling everyone’s favorite comfort food served by 11 area restaurants. Competitors included: Joe’s American Bar & Grill, Dave & Busters, Polcari’s, the 99 Restaurant, Uno’s Pizzeria, Juliana’s catering, Burton’s Grill, Greens Grill & Pub, Roma’s Bakery, Jake n Joes, and the Bowl Winners were Tony C’s with their Lobster Mac ‘n Cheese. In addition to sampling delicious varieties of mac ‘n cheese, guests also enjoyed games, prizes, and music with DJ Dan Maguire.
A highlight of the evening was when Arjun Wassan, age 5 brought his piggy bank savings as a donation. His desire to help people was fitting for the night! Arjun presented the Big Cheese trophy to the team from Tony C’s. (Arjun presented the winners with the big cheese trophy)
The event was organized by the Woburn Business Association in conjunction with their HERE, Hospitality Entertainment and Restaurant Exchange group. We are thrilled that so many people turned out and that we were able to support such a worthy cause.” Heather Maguire, Executive Director of the WBA.
Sponsoring the event were National Development, Larry Levine Business Development, Absolute 47 and Northern Bank. Northern Bank also sent a volunteer team who kept the registration area flowing and were key to the success of the night. Party Excitement also added to the fun by donating many of the games.
