Viciously Attacked By Dog, A Man And His Pet Are Saved By Woburn Workers: Reports
The dog assaulted and bit the man and his Labrador retriever as they were walking. Nearby DPW workers rushed to help.
WOBURN, MA — Two workers from the Department of Public Works are being hailed as heroes after they protected a man and his dog who were both being attacked by another dog.
Tom Sheehan and his 10-year-old Labrador retriever, Larry, were walking on Lexington Street around 7 a.m. Monday when the other animal assaulted them, according to multiple reports.
Sheehan said he tried to help Larry but couldn’t pull off the other dog. Fortunately, the workers in a nearby Woburn DPW truck noticed the skirmish and used a rake and a broom to fend off the attacker, who eventually ran away.
