What's the Scoop with Cummings Cones?

Cummings Properties treats Woburn clients to free ice cream

Cummings Properties rolled out its coolest perk yet on Thursday, September 3. For its latest client appreciation effort, the Woburn-based commercial real estate firm’s operations department rented and staffed an ice cream truck, making stops at its Gill Street and Tower Office Park campuses in Woburn.

Dubbed “Cummings Cones,” the event drew more than 500 on-site employees for free frozen treats and cornhole. With nostalgic favorites to choose from such as Bugs Bunny ice cream bars, nutty buddies, bomb pops, and chocolate éclairs, the chipwich was by far the favorite.

“It was great to see the smiles on our clients’ faces as they took a few moments out of their busy days to relive a classic summer moment,” said Cummings Properties associate account manager Molly Bennett. “This was our most successful client appreciation event to date.”

Bennett noted that a secondary purpose of these types of events is encouraging networking.

“With more than 2,000 clients firms of all types across our portfolio, there are plenty of opportunities for these businesses to work together and market to each other’s employees,” said Bennett.

In an effort to get clients out of their offices and networking in a casual setting, Cummings has been hosting pizza parties and breakfast buffets for years. Cummings Cones was a new idea this summer.

“Ice cream, warm weather, and fresh air was a recipe for success,” said Bennett. “People tend to relax when they step outside. There will definitely be more outdoor events in our future.”

Cummings Properties’ 10 million square feet of property across 10 suburban communities accommodates offices, healthcare facilities, laboratories, retail storefronts, warehouses, co-working spaces, executive suites, and more. With a portfolio of this size and variety, the firm can meet almost any commercial real estate need. Its in-house experts in design, construction, and property management offer “one-stop shopping” for leasing clients.
