WOBURN, MA — The 2016-2017 school year is almost here, and while students may be dreading it, the time has come to make preparations for the upcoming school year.

Students in Woburn will return to school on Sept. 7, and teachers will return to school on Sept. 6. There will be school during the Sept. 8 State Primary election.

Here are 10 other important dates on the Woburn public schools calendar that you should be aware of during the first few months of the year.

1. Sept. 14: Middle School Back-to-School Night (6-8 p.m.)
