School of Fashion Design

Celebrating over 90 years of excellence in fashion education, The School of Fashion Design is the only educational institution in New England dedicated exclusively to the study of fashion design. SFD provides students with a solid foundation in apparel design and construction, and the skills required for a successful career in fashion. Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. Students may take courses toward the Certificate or on a class-by-class basis to fill professional education interests. For creatives and textile arts enthusiasts, SFD offers workshops in various fiber arts such as weaving, lace making, embroidery, millinery, upcycling, and more. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers. Our studios are filled with recent high school graduates, students from nearby colleges enriching their education with fashion, and working professionals embarking on a new career path. SFD faculty and students are active partners in our local community, collaborating regularly with organizations and businesses through internships, exhibitions, field trips, and special events. Mulrenan III. He was the dear brother of Marion Murphy and Trudy Coakley both of Woburn and his late brother-in-laws Robert Murphy and Ralph Coakley, Jr. Loving "Grampy" of Michael, Ryan and Bryana Harron, Erin, Megan and Catherine MacDonald, Espel, Jarod, and Annissa Calixto, Liam, Aiden and Ainsley Robinson, along with four great grandchildren.
