Woburn Family Raises $14,000 In Charity Walk
For 16 consecutive years, families and friends gather in support of the Eversource Walk for Boston Children's Hospital.

From Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital: For 16 consecutive years, families and friends gather in support of the Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital. This year, local Woburn family, the Scribners, is no exception.
2 year old Jack Scribner suffers from a rare genetic disorder that causes abnormalities in his brain and spinal cord, affecting his central nervous system. He first came to Boston Children's Hospital when he was only 3 months old, and is now seen at the hospital for treatment of various symptoms caused by the degenerative disease.
The Scribner family is excited to be participating in their first ever Eversource Walk for Boston Children’s Hospital, and is overwhelmed with the amount of support they have received from their community. Starting with a goal of $1,000, they have now raised over $14,600 to date, earning a spot in the top 10 fundraising teams.

"Jack's strong," said his mom. "He has been through more than most adults. And with the exceptional care and research at Boston Children's, he'll grow even stronger."
