Woburn Festival On The Common Saturday Will Have Hayrides, Santa

Road closures around the Common will begin around 2 p.m. and last until 8.

WOBURN, MA — Looking to get into the holiday spirit this Thanksgiving weekend? The 23rd annual Festival On The Common is Saturday, with hayrides, a petting zoo and ice carving demonstrations. The festival begins at 3 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m.

Roads around the common will be closed from roughly 2 to 8, police said.

The festival's highlights, the arrival of Santa and the lighting of the Common, will be at 4 and 5:30 p.m., respectively. At 5:15, Mayor Scott Galvin is scheduled to recite"'Twas The Night Before Christmas." There will also be carolers and food vendors.
