Woburn Firefighters Local 971 to Hold Fundraiser for Child with Cancer
The fundraiser will benefit the grandson of a retired Woburn firefighter; the boy suffers from Neuroblastoma.

Woburn Firefighters Local 971 is holding a fundraiser for a four-year-old boy who is suffering from cancer.
The fundraiser entitled Prayers For Joey will benefit retired Woburn firefighter Steve McDonough’s grandson Joey, who is suffering from Neuroblastoma. The event will be held at Green’s Grill & Pub located at the Woburn Country Club. There will be a drawing for the organization’s $100 raffle as well as appetizers and a cash bar.
Neuroblastoma is a cancer that develops from immature nerve cells found in different areas in the body, according to the Mayo Clinic. The cancer generally affects children five years and some forms require a series of treatments.

Anyone who cannot attend the event but wishes to make a donation can do so at Prayers for Joey c/o Northern Bank and Trust located at 275 Mishawum Road.
