Woburn Gas Station Robbed at Knifepoint

A man with a hunting knife robbed the Hess Express gas station at 306 Montvale Ave. in Woburn Friday night, according to police.

Police responded to the scene at about 11:10 p.m. Two employees were present at the time. They described the suspect as a white male in his 20s, about 6-foot, 180 pounds, wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, black sneakers and a black winter hat. They said he had a scarf covering his face and made off with cash.

The man had an accomplice, as he was picked up by someone driving a small, dark colored, four-door sedan, according to police. The vehicle fled north on Washington Street, police said.
