Woburn Official Named 'Assistant Principal Of The Year'
Kennedy Middle School Assistant Principal Kevin Battle recognized for his leadership efforts in a wide range of initiatives at the school.

WOBURN, MA -- The Massachusetts School Administrators' Association named Kennedy Middle School Assistant Principal its Assistant Principal of the year. Battle was chosen for the award for his work on student social emotional learning, academic support for classroom teachers and his creative use of technology at the middle school.
Before being named assistant principal in 2009, Battle was a Special Education Inclusion teacher at the school. Battle most recently recruited staff with a goal of strategizing for and supporting chronically absent/tardy students. He has also been instrumental in creating traveling Chromebook carts, Google Classrooms, and Twitter accounts for student-teacher academic interaction.
