Woburn Plane Crash Victims Were On Their Way To Visit Son

Jodi Cohen, 52, and her husband Michael Graver were the lone occupants of a small plane that crashed in Woburn Saturday.

WOBURN, MA -- The husband and wife killed in a Woburn plane crash Saturday were highly-regarded practitioners in their respective professions. Michael Graver, 65, was the chief of adult cardiac surgery at Northwell Health’s North Shore University Hospital on Long Island while his wife, 52-year-old Jodi Cohen, was an agent for Douglas Elliman who formerly served as chief operating officer of Credit Suisse. Authorities say Graver was piloting the plane when it crashed behind a home on Minchin Drive near the Lexington town line just after 11 am Saturday.

"We are all so saddened by the sudden loss of Jodi Cohen, a respected colleague, consummate professional and generous friend to many," said Ann Conroy, president of Douglas Elliman’s Long Island Division, in a prepared statement. "Our hearts are with her family. She will be deeply missed and always remembered."

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but foul play is not suspected. Graver was piloting a Columbia Aircraft LC41 single propellor plane that left Republic Airport in Farmingdale, NY., at 9:30 a.m., and was expected to arrive in Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford around 11 a.m.
