Woburn Planning Dog Park At Ferullo Field
The first step will be a community meeting on Thursday to solicit input from residents and local dog lovers.

WOBURN, MA -- The long wait for Woburn dog owners who want a place to let their pooches run leash-free may be entering its final stretch. The city received a design from the Stanton Foundation to plan a dog park at Ferullo Field. The Recreation Department is scheduled to hold a meeting Thursday at 6 pm in the Engineering Conference Room at City Hall to give an overview of the project and solicit public input.
Once the design is complete, the city would need to apply for a construction grant from the foundation to fund the entire project. The Stanton Foundation was created by Dr. Frank Stanton to support areas where he was unable to complete his charitable intentions during his lifetime. One of those areas is the health and welfare of dogs.
Additional information on the meeting and the project is available by calling the Recreation Department at 781-897-5805.
