Woburn Pop Warner E1 Mitey Mites Football Game
On 9/7/14 the E1 Mitey Mites traveled to Burlington to play their first game of the 2014 football season. It was a sunny day gorgeous day and the Trojans took the field and were receiving the football to start the opening day of football. Hayden Laprade (#31) caught the football and ran for a 30 yard gain. Own their first possession the football was handed off to Bryan Ferreiro (#6), he was able to run for 16 yards due to the great blocking of the Trojans offensive line consisting of Alex Benitez (#65), Leyland Stack (#78), Tayte Roketenetz (#63), Brady Cypret (#7), Sean McCarthy (#48), Kevin Silva (#77) and Joe Sena (#87). On the 3rd play of the first possession it was a quarterback keeper; Hayden Laprade (#31) and he ran in for a Trojan touchdown. The extra point attempt was successful by a handoff to Evan Kolodko (#33).
The Trojans kicked off to Burlington and the mitey mites caused them to fumble the football and it was recovered by Brian Ferreira (#6). The Trojans were back on offense. The Trojans started our 47 yard line, the football was handed off to Evan Kolodko (#33) and he dodged and gave a stiff arm and was able to get through the Burlington’s defense and he ran in for a 53 yard touchdown. The extra point attempt was successful by the blocking of the offensive line and the running of Hayden Laprade (#31). The score is now 14-0.

On our second kickoff of the 1st half, Burlington recovered the football on our 48 yard line. The defense made a huge stand and only allowed Burlington move the football for a total of 4 yards in four plays. The mitey mites defense was led by Bryan Ferreira (#6), Brad Cypret (#7), Alex Doan (#9), Devin Farren (#13), Hayden Laprade(#31), Evan Kolodko (#33), Ty Cruz(#2), Tyler Gillardon(#62), Tayte Roketenetz (#63), Alex Benitez (#65), Kevin Silva ( #77) and Leyland Stack (#78). The Trojan s took over the football on their own 39 yard line, the football was handed off to Bryan Ferreira (#6); he ran for a 61 yard touchdown, this was successful once again by the blocking of the offensive line. The football was handed off to Bryan Ferreira (#6); he was able to run in for the extra point. The score is now 21-0.
We kicked off to Burlington and we were able to tackle them on their own 48 yard line. Burlington was able to move the football down to our 28 yard line, the Trojans had some great stops, and one of those great stops was by Joseph Silva (#23). The Trojans had some solo tackles by Brain Ferreira (#6), Evan Kolodko (#33), and Leyland Stack (#78). For the final possession of the first half the Trojans started on their own 28 yard line. The football was handed off to Evan Kolodko (#33), the offensive line was spectacular once again; therefore Evan Kolodko (#33) was able to run for 72 yards and another Trojans touchdown. This concluded the first half and the score was 27-0 for the Trojans.

The start of the second half the Trojans kicked the football off to Burlington they down the football on their own 48 yard line. A couple of great tackles were by Patrick Grimes (#21), Shawun Marsh (#44), Tayte Roketentz (#63) and Kevin Silva (#77). Unfortunately, this was not enough and Burlington was able to move the football down the field and score a touchdown. On their extra point attempt, they were unsuccessful due to a huge stoppage by Bryan Ferreira (#6), Patrick Grimes (#21) and Kevin Silva (#77). The football was kicked off to the Trojans and they started on their own 34 yard line. In the first possession of the second half the football was carried by numerous Trojans to move the football down the field, these runs were by Devin Ferren (#13), Bryan Ferreira (#6), Hayden Laprade (#31), and Evan Kolodko (#33), between these 4 players they were able to run the football down the field and score another Trojan touchdown. The extra point attempt was unsuccessful. The score was the Trojans 33-6.
The Trojans kicked off to Burlington and the down the football on their own 49 yard line. There were some key tackles and plays by Dante DellaGrotte (#12), Michael White (#30), Sean McCarthy (#40), Tristan Oliveira (#55), Nathan Medina (#51), Logan Taylor (#58) and Zachary Steiner (#64). Once again Burlington was able to move the football down the field and score a touchdown and they were also successful on their extra point attempt. Burlington kicked the football off to the Trojans and was tackled at the 48 yard line. On the second play of this series, the football was handed off to Bryan Ferreira (#6) and he ran the ball for 46 yards and another Trojan touchdown. Once again, this was successful due to the big blocks of the offensive line. The score is now 39-13 and this concluded the football game.
