Woburn Guild of Artists President and award winning artist, Joseph Leto, will be presenting his lecture, “Art and Inspiration,” for Woburn Reads at the Woburn Public Library, on Wednesday, March 12, starting at 7PM. Mr. Leto studied at the Art Institute, Boston, and continued through the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School.
Throughout history all artists have dealt with finding creative juices and inspiration. How did they do it? Mr. Leto will take you on a tour of where those famous artists got their thoughts and ideas, which let us enjoy the masterpieces we recognize today.
During his lecture, noted visual artist Keiko Richter will paint her own masterpiece from the inspiration she feels, exhibiting the creative process. Her focus is to capture the atmosphere and the spirit of the subject as well as emotional response to it.
