Woburn Reports Over 500 Confirmed Coronavirus Cases

The city's case growth has slowed dramatically, adding fewer than 10 cases each day for the last week.

WOBURN, MA — Woburn's confirmed coronavirus case count crossed the 500 mark Monday, after inching up daily for the last week. The city's case growth has slowed dramatically, increasing by fewer than 10 cases each day since its largest ever jump, May 10.

As of Monday, the city has 501 confirmed cases. On May 10, it had 474.

Among those cases, there are 211 patients in isolation, 23 deaths, and 267 recoveries. Another 70 residents are in quarantine for potential exposure.

According to updated demographic data released Monday, the city's coronavirus patients remain majority-female by a significant margin.

One hundred thirty-six of the city's patients are 80 and older.
