Woburn Residents Make World Series Predictions

The Boston Red Sox are in the World Series for the third time in the last decade. Who's your pick?

The Boston Red Sox are in the World Series. That part we know.

But what we don't know is how they'll fare. That's where we want to hear from you, Woburn.

We asked on the Woburn Patch Facebook page what locals are predicting for the World Series, which begins on Wednesday night. Here are a few responses that we received.

Liz Paradise Cuneo: "Red Sox in seven (games). Yes, seven. Let's make it a nail biter."

Karen Cusimano Fitzgerald: Sox in six games.

Dennis Dooley: Red Sox in five games with Koji Uehara as World Series MVP.

Karen Peters: Red Sox in five games.

We also heard from Woburn resident named "Hutch" who has an interesting story as it pertains to the World Series. Hutch worked in St. Louis for four years in the 1980s, and was there when the Cardinals won it all in 1982.

In addition, Hutch lived in Miami in 1997 when the Florida Marlins won their first World Series. He then moved to New England, where he witnessed the Red Sox reverse the curse in 2004 and add another World Series title in 2007.

Three cities, three baseball teams, four championships for Hutch.

"Perhaps it's me?!," wrote Hutch.

Think Hutch will keep up the streak? We want you to weigh in on the series as well. Let us know who you think will win the World Series, in how many games, and who will be the World Series MVP in the comments section below.
