Woburn Snow: Weekend Storm Seemingly Losing Steam
Woburn may not receive as much snow as originally predicted.
WOBURN, MA—It seems as if the snow storm heading for the region has lost a bit of steam.
Woburn was originally projected to receive approximately three to five inches of snow on Saturday into Sunday, but now it seems like the city will likely be hit with less. The majority of the snow is also projected to come on Sunday morning, as opposed to Saturday.
Woburn’s forecast (as of 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday) calls for cloudy skies early on Saturday, with snow showers developing in the afternoon. Saturday’s high of 29 will be accompanied by gusts of 15 to 25 miles per hour and a 40 percent chance of snow.

Chances of snow increase to 70 percent on Saturday night, but winds calm to between 10 and 20 miles per hour. Temperatures will fall into the lower 20s. Snow accumulations are projected to range around one inch.
Sunday’s forecast calls for one to three inches of snow with winds blowing at 15 to 25 miles per hour. Snow is expected to give way to cloudy skies in the afternoon.
