Woburn Stabbing Suspect Held Without Bail After Dangerousness Hearing

The Woburn man, 36, was arrested in connection with a stabbing at Jake N JOES on Aug. 19

WOBURN, MA — A Woburn arrested in connection with a stabbing at Jake n JOES was ordered held without bail after a 58A dangerousness hearing Monday.

James Lyons, 36, of Woburn was held ordered held without bail in Woburn District Court, according to Meghan Kelly, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex County District Attorney's office. Lyons is due back in court on Sept. 23.

Lyons was arrested on Aug. 19 for allegedly stabbing a 31-year-old Woburn man in the parking lot of Jake n JOEs on Mishawum Road. Authorities allege that Lyons stabbed the victim in the neck during an altercation in the parking lot shortly after the restaurant closed for the night.

Lyons later allegedly fled the scene and was arrested by Woburn and State police officers late Friday night at a residence in the city.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
