Woburn Warns Residents About Vials Being Hung On Doors
A company trying to sell water treatment systems has been hanging testing vials on doors in Woburn.

WOBURN, MA -- WOburn issued a scam alert to residents this month about a company that has been hanging fliers on doors with small testing vials for the recipient to return a water sample. While some residents mistook the vials from coming from the city or the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority, the vials were actually distributed by a company trying to sell water treatment systems.
In addition to the warning, Woburn offered links to its own testing results and information about the quality of water in the city.
"Everything you need to know about drinking water quality is right there. We’re confident about our water quality, and we think that the data will make you confident as well," the city said. "If you still have questions, feel free to contact the MWRA or the City of Woburn Water Department 781-897-5945."
