Woburn Water System Flushing Continues to Green St. Neighborhoods

Residents may experience a disturbance or discolored water during the flushing work.

WOBURN, MA—The city's next round of water flushing is set to begin Wednesday, and will continue for about five days.

According to an announcement on the City's website, flushing will start at Green St., at Nashua Street and continue along Green to Main Street. This flushing area encompasses all streets south of Green Street, including Spring Court and Blueberry Hill, to the Winchester line.

The process will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., and is aimed at clearing lines of settled sediment. Water may be discolored and residents may experience a disturbance during the time of flushing, but residents are instructed to run the tap water until discoloration clears.
