Woburn Welcome Night Offers Resources To Families That Are New In Town

The event is targeted at families that have lived in Woburn for a year or less and offers a chance to learn about local resources.

WOBURN, MA -- The Woburn Public School System and SCI Woburn are co-hosting a Welcome Night on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 pm at Woburn High School at 88 Montvale Avenue. Childcare and translators are available so parents can learn about different community groups and resources for families in the city.

The event is targeted at families that have moved to Woburn in the past year. The event is being funded through grants from Lahey Hospital and Medical Center and Winchester Hospital.

SCI Woburn is a nonprofit that works "to strengthen the community by connecting diverse individuals and organizations through civic engagement initiatives," according to a mission statement on the group's Website.
