Woburn Will Celebrate Its 375th Anniversary With A Friday Night Gala
The city has been having a year-long celebration, which will be capped off with Friday's event at the recently-renovated Woburn Hilton.

WOBURN, MA -- Tickets are still available for the Friday night gala that caps off a year-long celebration of the Woburn's 375th anniversary. The event is being held at the Woburn Hilton on Forbes Avenue and includes a cocktail hour beginning at 6 pm, followed by dinner and dancing from 7-11 pm.

Woburn was settled in 1640 and officially incorporated in 1642. Capt. Edward Johnson, who co-founded the city, is often referred to as "the father of Woburn." He was the first town clerk and represented the town in the Massachusetts General Court.
