Woburn Youth Hockey Plans Benefit For Family Of Beloved Coach
The Bruins Alumni team will be on hand to support the family of Joe Addonizio Jr, a youth hockey coach who died in a July motorcycle crash.

WOBURN, MA -- When Joe Addonizio Jr. died at 35 in a July motorcycle crash in Beverly, he left behind his wife Jamie, as well as their nine-year-old son Brennan and six-year-old daughter Ella. But Addonizio also left behind the dozens of Woburn Youth Hockey players he had coached. Now Woburn Youth Hockey is hoping to give back by holding a benefit for Addonizio's family on November 12 at 2 pm at the O'Brien Ice Rink in Woburn.
The highlight of the event will be a game between the Bruin's Alumni team and a team made up of Woburn Youth Hockey supporters, including coaches, former players and friends of Addonizio. Rachel Middleton, one of the event coordinators, said the Bruins alumni would be available for a meet-and-greet during itermission, but there are no guarantees of pictures or autographs.
