Woburn's Assistant Superintendent Could Depart for Amesbury
Gary Reese was offered the superintendent job in Amesbury.

Gary Reese, Woburn’s Assistant Superintendent of Schools, could be heading for Amesbury to become superintendent after the school district identified him as the man for the job, the Daily Times Chronicle reports.
Now Reese has not made it known whether he’s accepted Amesbury’s offer, but he was offered the job there last week.
The Chelmsford resident was set to be paid $137,000 over the course of the upcoming 2015-2016 school year. No word has been released regarding how much Reese would be paid as leader of Amesbury Schools.

While in Woburn, Reese adopted a new teacher evaluation system, accepted new federal Common Core curriculum standards and supported a switch from the MCAS testing system.
Reese worked as the principal at the Linscott-Rumford School prior to becoming assistant superintendent.
