Zagat Votes Woburn's Baldwin Bar 'Hottest' in Boston

WOBURN, MA—Woburn is full of spectacular bars and restaurants, and the country is starting to take notice.

On Feb. 17, Zagat rated The Baldwin Bar at Sichuan Garden in Woburn as the 'hottest' bar in Boston. The article rates the 'hottest' bars in 15 major cities across the country.

Under its "Why It's Hot" section, The Zagat staff wrote "This cocktail lounge inside Sichuan Garden has been a big draw for beverage nerds for a while now, in large part because of 30 Under 30 honoree and beverage director Ran Duan, a formerGQ cover subject who has been racking up the national accolades. But now there's a whole new reason to go by: a space-doubling upstairs expansion that has made a good thing great."

The staff recommended trying the "Ready for Take Off" cocktail as its "must drink."

"You've got to see to believe this insane-looking communal cocktail, the Ready for Take Off ($100). It's Absolut Elyx, crème Yvette, Aperol and citrus, served in a copper swan. On its back is a halved coconut loaded with dry ice and essential oils that create a fragrant tropical fog" the Zagat Staff wrote.
