1,000 Turkeys Given To Worcester County Food Bank: Photos

WORCESTER, MA — The Worcester County Food Bank (WCFB) recently took a delivery of 1,000 turkeys ahead of Thanksgiving, part of a larger food donation effort by Stop & Shop.

The frozen turkeys will be handed out to local residents in need over the holiday season. This year, Stop & Shop plans to donate over 21,000 turkeys to hunger relief organizations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey and New York, according to the company.
