1 Dead, 1 Injured, After Shooting Near Worcester Bar
Police are investigating a shooting at a bar on West Boylston Street.

WORCESTER, MA—One man is dead and another injured after a shooting on Thursday night near a bar in Worcester.
On Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 at 11:30 p.m., Worcester police were called to the area of 3 Loring St. for a report of gunshots. While responding, police were flagged down by a group of people in front of Gallagher’s Pub at 97 West Boylston St.
In front of the pub, police found a 21-year-old man on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his legs, abdomen and neck. They immediately administered first aid, and paramedics arrived. He was pronounced a short time later at the hospital, said police.
While treating the first victim, police found another 20-year-old male at 84 West Boylston St. who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was brought to a hospital and treated.
Worcester Police Detectives and Crime Scene Unit personnel responded to process the scene, collect evidence, and interview witnesses. The investigation is ongoing at this time. Police are currently working on identifying the suspect(s) involved. At this time, the identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the family. More details will be released as they become available.
