12 Arrested In Worcester 'Targeted Enforcement' Action
A Wednesday police operation along Main Street was aimed at quality of life issues, the police department said.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police carried out an enforcement action along Main Street on Wednesday, arresting 12 people for a range of "quality-of-life" crimes, according to the department.
The arrests were made near the intersection of Main and King streets southwest of the downtown area. The 12 people were arrested on charges like drug possession, outstanding warrants, drug distribution, and trespassing, police said. Police did not immediately identify the people who were arrested.
The department said in a statement that the enforcement action was carried out because of crime trends and conversations with local residents, and that the overall goal was "problem resolution."
