15-Year-Old Stabbed At Crompton Park, Police Arrest Worcester Teen

Worcester police said a large group of people were fighting Tuesday night when the stabbing occurred.

WORCESTER, MA — A 15-year-old was stabbed and injured Tuesday night during a fight at Crompton Park, according to police, and a second 15-year-old has been charged in connection to the violence.

The fight broke out around 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Green Island-area park. Police said officers arrived to find a large group of people "still screaming and threatening to fight each other."

Police found the 15-year-old victim along Harding Street. He was taken in an ambulance to a local hospital, and was in stable condition as of Wednesday morning. The boy arrested in connection to the stabbing was charged with armed assault to murder, assault and battery, fighting, disorderly conduct and a warrant, police said.

Police arrested two other people after the fight, including a third 15-year-old and a 19-year-old Wabash Avenue resident, who was charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing and disturbing the piece.
