$2.4M Lottery Ticket Sold At Worcester County Convenience Store
One lucky lottery player won more than 2 million after buying a ticket in Central Massachusetts.
LEOMINSTER, MA — One lucky lottery player in Worcester County won a more than $2 million prize this week.
A winning $2.4 million ticket was purchased at Jayzi Mart, a small convenience store at 9 Pleasant St in Leominster on Tuesday. The prize was won from the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Decade of Dollars" scratch-off game.
To win, a player must match any of their numbers to a winning number or uncover a multiplier or special prize symbol.
The odds of winning the top prize of $2.4 million in the game is one in more than two-and-a-half million.
The state lottery commission did not share who won the prize, but retailers that sell a winning ticket typically receive a bonus from the Lottery.
Two other prizes were sold at the same market in Leominster this week. One player won $1,000 in the lottery's "$10,000,000 Instant Millions" game, while another won $1,350 in Keno.
