2 Men Indicted in Stabbing Woman to Death in Worcester

Two men have been indicted for allegedly murdering Cherise Hill in December. Police are searching for the second defendant.

WORCESTER – A man was arraigned last week in the stabbing death of a homeless woman in Worcester.

Kevin Miranda, 18, whose latest address is the Worcester County House of Correction, is charged with murder in the stabbing death of Cherise Hill, 31, who was found in the street near 20 Murray Ave. on Dec. 2. Miranda had been arrested and charged in Central District Court.

Miranda was charged with holding Hill's arms as she was stabbed multiple times, reports MassLive.

A video captured Hill, mother of three walking with two other people, before her murder, reports WHDH, Channel 7 News.

Pedro Solis, 26, of 45 Grand St., apt. 107, also was indicted for murder by the Worcester County Grand Jury. He is not in custody, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Before the indictment, Solis was also wanted on a default warrant in an unrelated drug case.

Another man, Luis Melendez-Rivas, had been arrested in the murder, but the charge against him was dropped today in Central District Court. Melendez-Rivas was misidentified at the time of his arrest, said the Worcester District Attorney's office.
