2 Teens Shot In Worcester In Separate Weekend Incidents: Police

The 15-year-old and 17-year-old were not seriously injured in the shootings, police said.

WORCESTER, MA — Two teenagers were shot and wounded in Worcester over the weekend in separate incidents, police said Monday.

The first incident happened Saturday just before 7 p.m. along Vernon Street. Police found the 15-year-old victim near the shooting scene along Endicott Street. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The second shooting left a 17-year-old injured in the Bell Hill area. Police said the teen was shot just before 10 p.m. on Saturday along Orne Street. The teen was taken to the hospital, also with non-life threatening injuries.

Worcester police did not immediately announce any arrests related to the shootings, and said detectives are still seeking information about the violence.
