4 Rescued After Falling Into Icy Pond Near Worcester

The incident happened at a pond in Boylston on Presidents Day afternoon.

BOYLSTON, MA — Four were rescued from an icy pond near Worcester on Monday afternoon after a fisherman fell in. Three people who tried to rescue the fisherman also fell in, according to reports.

Boylston, Clinton, and Shrewsbury firefighters responded to the scene to pull the people out of the water. Only one person had to go to the hospital for treatment, according to reports.

The incident comes two days after a woman and her dog were rescued from a pond at Franklin Park in Boston. The woman fell through the ice after chasing her dog.
