Woman, Dog Rescued From Frozen Pond At Franklin Park
The incident happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday at Scarboro Pond at the south end of Franklin Park.

BOSTON, MA — A woman fell through ice and into a pond at Franklin Park on Saturday afternoon. The woman was chasing after her dog when she fell in, according to the Boston Fire Department.
At around 4:45 p.m., BFD technical rescue team members in survival suits waded into Scarboro Pond to reach the woman, who had made to an island in the middle of the water. They were able to get the woman and her dog into a motor boat and back to shore.
The woman was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation, firefighters said.

Scarboro Pond is located at the south end of the park near Shattuck Hospital.
