4-Year-Old In Stable Condition After Falling From 7th-Floor Window In Worcester

Police said the boy was alert, breathing and conscious following the incident.

WORCESTER, MA — A child in Worcester was alert, breathing and conscious after falling from a window in the city on Wednesday night.

A 4-year-old boy fell from a seventh-floor window of an apartment building on Country Club Boulevard at around 7:20 p.m., according to the Worcester Police Department.

Police said the child may have landed on a pile of mulch below, and confirmed he was alert and crying as he was taken to the hospital.

He remains in stable condition as of Thursday morning, according to police.

Worcester police's Crime Scene Unit and Special Crimes Detectives are investigating the incident and have released no further information.
