5 Arrested After Large, 'Unruly' Fight On Water Street In Worcester
Numerous fights and disturbances led to the arrest of five people.

WORCESTER, MA—After fights broke out and the crowd wouldn't disperse on Water Street, five ended up in handcuffs late Friday night.
On Saturday, July 29, around 1:05 a.m., several police officers responded to Water Street for a large unruly fight, according to police. Responding officers arrived at a chaotic scene that involved several fights taking place at once. Many people were shoving each other and fighting, and numerous officers responded, yelling at the crowd to disperse. The crowd refused, and officers started to break up the physical altercations.
As a result, the following were placed under arrest:
Richard Santos, 22, Leon Street, Worcester, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace.
Leesandra Gonzalez, 39, Franklin Street, West Boylston, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace.
Sopary Roun, 24-years-old of 12 Wakefield Street, Webster, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace.
Maria Velez, 31, Williamsberg, Worcester, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace.
Chauntel Martin, 26, Harris Street, Webster, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Interfering with a Police Officer.
There were no injuries reported. All five suspects were arraigned on Monday at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
