The stolen items were needed 'to help families who so urgently need a safe and affordable home.'
WORCESTER, MA — About $9,000 worth of tools was stolen from a Habitat for Humanity trailer on Sunderland Road on Dec. 5. Thieves broke into the trailer at a home build site and "several of the more expensive tools were stolen," according to a Facebook post from Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester.
"The tools container was locked with two padlocks and both were cut," the organization wrote. "We hope everyone in the community will be on high alert to make sure these thieves don’t steal something precious from them. In this case, the items stolen were to help families who so urgently need a safe and affordable home."
Some of the items stolen include 10 cordless impact drivers, valued at $1,190; two nail guns, valued at $718; a hammer drill, valued at $399; and an impact wrench valued at $349, according to WHDH 7-News.
