'Access for All': Worcester Art Museum Switches to Gender-Neutral Restrooms
'Visitors will notice that our restroom signs have been changed to reflect this new approach.'

WORCESTER, MA—In a move mirroring the decision of many other institutions, the Worcester Art Museum has made the switch to gender-neutral restrooms in its building.
Amid a growing consciousness that reflects the needs of transgender community, WAM has decided to make the museum's single stall restrooms gender neutral.
"The Worcester Art Museum is committed to the philosophy of 'access for all,' said Adam Rozan, director of audience engagement, on the museum's blog. "With this in mind, we have made the museum's single stall restrooms gender neutral, reflecting the needs of today’s audiences. Visitors will notice that our restroom signs have been changed to reflect this new approach, providing a more welcoming environment for all of our audiences regardless of gender identity."
