WORCESTER, MA — New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is bringing his first MayeDay Family Foundation event to Polar Park this weekend.
Maye and his wife, Ann Michael Maye, announced the foundation on March 27 to support children and families enduring hardship, and the inaugural MayeDay Family Foundation Celebrity Softball Classic will take place Sunday, May 31, at Polar Park in Worcester, according to the foundation website.
"Ann Michael and I are excited to launch the MayeDay Family Foundation to give back to the communities that have so strongly supported us," Maye said in a press release shared by the Patriots. "It's important for us to provide help for kids and families in need and we are looking forward to partnering with great organizations in New England and back home in North Carolina."
The event will feature Maye, several Patriots teammates and other celebrity guests. The evening will also include a home run derby, interactive family activities and postgame festivities.
"We are really looking forward to hosting the Celebrity Softball Classic as our first foundation event," Ann Michael Maye said in the press release. "It's going to be a really fun night for families and all for a great cause."
Doors will open at 5 p.m. at Polar Park, 100 Madison St., according to the ballpark. General admission tickets are $15 and reserved seats are $25, while drink rail seats, high-top tables, and field-level seats were listed as sold out on the Polar Park event page.
Maye was selected by the Patriots with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of North Carolina. The foundation said it is operated through a fiscal sponsorship by The Dreambuilders Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Tickets and more information are available at MayeDay.org and through the Polar Park event page.
