$1M Lottery Prize Sold In Worcester

A Massachusetts Lottery player who bought a ticket in Worcester has claimed a massive prize.

WORCESTER, MA — A Massachusetts Lottery player who bought a ticket in Worcester has claimed a massive prize.

One lucky Bay Stater won a $1 million prize from the Massachusetts State Lottery's "200X" instant ticket game. The winning ticket was sold Tuesday at Bee Zee, 177 SW Cutoff in Worcester, accoridng to the state's lottery commission.

Players win in the game by matching any of their numbers to one of the winning numbers. Three $1 million prizes have been claimed, and three more remain unclaimed.

The odds of winning a prize that large from the game are one in more than two million.

Flying Spirit Trust II of Newton claimed the $1 million prize. The trust, represented by trustee Larisa Freyman, opted to receive its prize as a one-time payment of $650,000.

Bee Zee will also recieve a $10,000 bonus for the sale of the winning ticket.

Multiple other large prizes were sold in Worcester on Saturday. Two lucky players purchased tickets, each earning a $100,000 prize from Gibbs Oil and Yankee Gas and Market in the city.
