New Coffee Spot Plans Opening In Worcester

This is the latest in a wave of new coffee shops coming to Worcester.

WORCESTER, MA — A new coffee shop is preparing to open in a former scuba diving teaching space in Worcester.

Red Cup Coffee plans to operate at 304 Shrewsbury St. The business's owner, Darshan Mody, went before the city's License Commission on Thursday to request a Common Victualler license, which was unanimously approved.

The coffee shop will debut in the former home of Central Mass Scuba, a scuba shop specializing in training, sales, service and rentals. The business now operates on Main Street in Oxford

Red Cup Coffee will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, according to the commission meeting agenda.

It's not yet clear when the business plans to open.

New Coffee Shops In Worcester

This is the latest in a wave of new coffee shops coming to Worcester.

Identity Coffee Co. plans to open two locations in apartment complexes: one at The Revington, 1 Green Island Blvd., and another at Railroad Lofts, 383 Shrewsbury St.

Meanwhile, a Middle Eastern-style coffee and nut shop, Roast and Raha, was set to open at 9 Stafford St., while August Coffee recently opened at 554 Main St.
