State Sen. Robyn Kennedy congratulated the owners on the opening and thanked them for investing in Worcester.

"Every new business, every entrepreneur makes our community better and stronger," Kennedy said. "Cheers to much success!"

Moss received approval for a Common Victualler license from the Worcester License Commission in January, Patch previously reported. She told the commission that the cafe would serve high-quality coffee, breakfast and lunch in a space designed for neighbors, downtown workers and families.

August Coffee brews Atomic Coffee and offers classic espresso drinks, rotating seasonal beverages, house-made syrups and food, according to the business.
