WORCESTER, MA — Worcester Emergency Medical Services has promoted two members of its operations division to supervisory roles.
Paramedics Kyle Stark and Dan Bruce were promoted to lieutenant, the department announced Thursday. Both currently serve as field training officers and are members of the Tactical EMS team and Honor Guard.
Department officials said both paramedics have already distinguished themselves within Worcester EMS. Stark and Bruce will return to night shifts following their promotions.
Worcester receives hospital-based emergency medical services through UMass Memorial Health, an arrangement in place since 1991. The system responds to approximately 40,000 calls annually.
