Beloved Worcester Brewery Reopens Following Months Of Renovations
The work nearly doubled the size of the brewery and tap room on Shrewsbury Street.
WORCESTER, MA —A popular brewery in Worcester has officially reopened after months of renovation and expansion.
Wormtown Brewery's Worcester Tap Room reopened on Saturday after it had been closed for renovations since July 2025. The work nearly doubled the tap room's size from 4,500 square feet to more than 8,600 square feet, creating space for 300 guests.
The new and improved brewery is offering more communal seating and 16 taps in total, along with a full kitchen featuring a new menu of comfort food. There will also be nine high-definition televisions around the business at 72 Shrewsbury St.

To celebrate the reopening, Wormtown will offer ongoing specials like $5 pints of "Be Lucky", a nitro Irish stout, and "Welcome to The Woo", an American light lager. There will also be weekly Industry Nights and Trivia.
The expansion also created a dedicated private event space and an outdoor patio.

Wormtown Brewery got its start in 2010, first operating out of Peppercorn's along Park Avenue. The company then expanded its Shrewsbury Street taproom, taking over the space of a now-closed restaurant.
The business operates another tap room in Foxborough, which is currently closed for renovations.
Wormtown Brewery is open on Monday through Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
