WORCESTER, MA—A Worcester County grand jury has indicted Glenn R. Armstrong for murder in the January death of his 83-year-old father in Blackstone, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Armstrong was arrested on Jan. 12 in Mount Laurel, N.J., one day after his father, Walter Armstrong, was found dead in the home they shared at 36 Summer St., Blackstone. Armstrong was arraigned in March.
The indictment moves Armstrong’s case to Worcester Superior Court, in which he will be arraigned on June 20. He is also being charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.
The defendant allegedly drove to New Jersey in his father’s truck, and was arrested there on a warrant after his vehicle ran out of gas.
