CAPTURED: Person Wanted in Connection to Murder of 83-Year-Old Father Arrested

Walter Armstrong's body was discovered Wednesday night in his home. His son Glenn is a person of interest.

BLACKSTONE, MA — Update: Mount Laurel, N.J, Police Department has placed Glenn Armstrong in custody in their town. Details are limited at this time but initial reports indicate that Armstrong was operating the 1995 Chevrolet S10 when it ran out of gas in the area of Mt. Laurel, said the Worcester County District Attorney's Office. He was taken into custody without incident in a hotel parking lot. He was arrested on a Massachusetts warrant for failing to submit DNA. The Worcester County District Attorney's Office will work toward bringing Mr. Armstrong back to Worcester County.

Original post: An 83-year- old man was found dead on Wednesday night in his Summer Street home and his son is being sought for questioning, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

Walter Armstrong, of 36 Summer St., was found dead at about 5 p.m. by Blackstone Police while making a well-being check on Armstrong.

Glenn Armstrong, 48, who lived with his father in the home is being sought as a person of interest. A black 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck, owned by the older Mr. Armstrong, is missing. State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney's Office and Blackstone Police have put out a "be on the lookout (BOLO)" bulletin to law enforcement for the pickup truck with the license plate 1TS599.

If Armstrong or his vehicle are spotted, people should not approach, but should call police right away. The public's assistance is sought. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Glenn Armstrong or the pickup truck should contact the Massachusetts State Police at 508-829- 8420, or the Blackstone Police at 508-883-1212.
