Man Found Dead In Worcester's Crystal Pond
Fire department divers pulled the body from the water at University Park just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police on Wednesday morning pulled a dead man from Crystal Pond at University Park. Police did not immediately know if the man had been the victim of a crime.
Just before 11 a.m., a person called 911 to report a man floating in Crystal Pond. He was pulled from the water and sent to the medical examiner to determine the cause of death. He wasn't immediately identified.
The pond is located near the intesection of Crystal and Main streets southeast of Clark University.

On Oct. 28, a woman's body was found outside the Mercantile Center. The unattended death was likely a suicide, police said. But two people were murdered in Worcester in October.
On Oct. 2, Thomas Bergstrom stabbed and killed his girlfriend, Jeniffer Gisselle Rivera Vazquez, 34, according to police and prosecutors. Bergstrom has been charged with assault and battery with serious bodily harm. On Oct. 18, police say that Jennifer Algarin, 32, stabbed and killed her boyfriend, Jason Swedberg, 40, at a home along Dixfield Street.
