Worcester BrickBox Theater

Slap Dragon is the brain-child of bassist Scott Mulvahill and vocalist Laura Berens who met and began writing songs together in the summer of 2023. Soul vocals and acoustic instruments (played by some of Nashville’s heaviest session musicians) combine for a fresh, funky irresistibly joyful sound that is equal parts bluegrass, disco, and R&amp;B.
Slap Dragon played their first show on June 1, 2024 to an enthusiastic crowd in Nashville, followed by a set at Bonnaroo. Slap Dragon has begun gaining traction online, including a recent Instagram clip of “Already Won” surpassing 260k views.
Following their successful Kickstarter campaign in October 2025, Slap Dragon is set to release their anticipated debut album, “Mission Statement,” in 2026.
